I run a health & wellness YouTube channel aimed at adults 50+ and Baby Boomers. I need an experienced Shorts editor who can take raw footage and turn it into engaging 9:16 vertical videos with clear visuals, captions, and hooks.
Responsibilities:
Edit raw footage into 30–60 sec YouTube Shorts (9:16).
Add captions, clear on-screen text, and callouts easy for older viewers to follow.
Insert relevant B-roll, charts, and stock footage (health/medical themes).
Balance voice, music (≈20% volume), and sound effects.
Craft strong hooks in first 3–5 seconds to boost retention.
Requirements:
Proven experience editing YouTube Shorts/Reels/TikToks.
Portfolio with health, wellness, or educational content.
Skilled in pacing videos for clarity (not too flashy for 50+ audience).
Fast turnaround and good communication.
Scope & Budget:
Ongoing work: 2–4 Shorts per week.
Paid test Short required before long-term hire.
