- *Key Responsibilities**
As a DevOps engineer at Workwarp, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on AWS, including EC2 instances, container clusters, and Kubernetes services
- Ensuring the security and reliability of our systems, including patching, monitoring, and incident response
- Collaborating with our team to drive innovation and growth, including migrating from ECS to EKS and implementing Prometheus and Grafana
- Working closely with our database administrators to ensure the performance, security, and scalability of our databases
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, including performance issues, data corruption, and security breaches
- Developing and maintaining scripts, tools, and automation frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Participating in on-call rotations and providing 24/7 support for critical systems
- Collaborating with our security team to ensure the security and compliance of our systems and data
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in cloud infrastructure, security, and database administration
- *Essential Qualifications**
- 4-8 years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a related field
- Strong background in Microsoft SQL, including performance tuning, data modeling, and database administration
- Experience with containerization using Kubernetes and container orchestration using EKS
- Experience with cloud engineering on AWS, including EC2 instances, container clusters, and networking
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including patching, monitoring, and incident response
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python, Bash, and Terraform
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks, including Jenkins and Terragrunt
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- *Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with networking and security, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control
- Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and logging
- Experience with Kanban methodology and agile development practices
- Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
- Experience with PostgreSQL and other database management systems
- Experience with cloud security and compliance, including AWS security best practices and compliance frameworks
