Job Title GIS Analyst/Developer Relevant Experience (in Yrs) 8+ Technical/Functional Skills Business Analysis, Scrum, OT and SCADA experience Experience Required 8+ Roles & Responsibilities β’ Create the design, implementation, and ongoing management of systems that deliver against strict requirements for functionality, scalability, performance, and reliability. β’ Contribute to the design and architecture to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software and to clearly articulate the implications of design/architectural decisions, issues and plans to technology leadership. β’ Using activity diagrams, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, flowcharts, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, interviews, and workflow analysis to Induce and manage requirements β’ Gathering information from multiple sources and critically evaluating it, reconciling conflicts, disseminating high-level information into details and distinguishing user requests from their true needs β’ Driving and challenging the presumptions of business units on how will they successfully execute their plans β’ Interpreting business needs of customers and translating them into the application and operational requirement with the help of strong analytical and product management skills β’ Establishing the technical vision and analyzing tradeoffs between usability and performance needs by teaming up with developers and subject matter experts β’ Liaisoning between technology teams, support teams and business units β’ Using standard templates and natural language to develop requirement specifications β’ Serving as a channel between the internal-external customers and the software development team through which requirements flow β’ Communicating and collaborating Proactively with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and delivering Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs as and when required. β’ Serve as a top-tier technical escalation point for critical pre-production issues and drives escalation/resolution of problems into Development, QA, and Operations teams. β’ Resolve problems that arise with existing production applications in a timely manner to ensure the efficient and proper functioning of application components. β’ Delivering work products throughout the project life cycle β’ Analyzing information from surveys and workshops, task analysis, and business process description β’ Conferring with project managers to define concepts and using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems. β’ These were the primary responsibilities of the business analyst which are required to prove his worth.
