Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Labcorp is an industry-leading company seeking a Remote Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join their Cytogenetics team. The role involves supervising day-to-day operations, training laboratory personnel, and ensuring compliance with regulations while striving for continuous improvement in service levels. Responsibilities β’ Supervise the day to day operations of the remote Cytogenetics team for prenatal, blood chromosomes, and tissues β’ Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel of the department β’ Monitor daily workflow and schedule adequate assay coverage β’ Responsible for ensuring all shifts in the department are properly staffed β’ Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary β’ Engage in continuous process and service level improvements β’ Prepare and maintain Quality Assurance records and documents β’ Evaluate new process improvements and make appropriate recommendations β’ Meet regularly with direct reports to provide coaching and feedback for their development β’ Perform bench work as needed and maintain proficiency/competency in technical operations β’ Ensure all work is in accordance with state and Federal regulations β’ Responsible for administering and managing policies and procedures β’ Perform administrative duties as needed Skills β’ Minimum 4 years of experience as a Technologist; 7 years preferred β’ Cytogenetics analysis experience is required β’ Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations β’ Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures β’ Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office β’ Strong communication skills; both written and verbal β’ High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills β’ Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment β’ Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position β’ The candidate must have a home office space that is a dedicated room, not shared with other people, and meets HIPAA compliance β’ Wired or wireless internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/sec is required β’ The candidate must have the ability to work remotely effectively as required in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with a demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands β’ Previous supervisor/leadership experience is highly preferred β’ Knowledge of ASI system is preferred β’ ASCP or AMT certification is preferred Education Requirements β’ Bachelorβs degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements Benefits β’ Medical β’ Dental β’ Vision β’ Life β’ STD/LTD β’ 401(k) β’ Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO) β’ Tuition Reimbursement β’ Employee Stock Purchase Plan Company Overview β’ Labcorp specializes in providing physicians with laboratory tests.
