About the Role Small construction-litigation firm seeks a detail-oriented attorney to support active cases through research, drafting, and discovery. Ideal for an associate level attorney seeking flexible, substantive litigation work in a modern, tech-enabled environment. The role is 100% remote with regular Zoom meetings. Opportunity for long-term growth: The position is expected to evolve into a full-time W-2 role. Core Responsibilities β’ Prepare pleadings, motions, and supporting memoranda β’ Conduct targeted legal research and issue analysis (Westlaw access provided) β’ Review and index document productions β’ Draft discovery requests and responses β’ Create and maintain organized case document libraries β’ Match evidence to elements of claims and defenses β’ Identify evidentiary gaps and assist in strategic follow-up discovery Qualifications Required β’ Active Bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction β’ Strong organizational and document-management ability β’ Excellent legal research and writing skills β’ Reliability and accountability in remote, asynchronous work β’ Friendly demeanor Preferred β’ Experience with discovery-intensive litigation β’ Comfort with modern legal technology and digital workflows β’ Background in construction or commercial disputes Compensation & Logistics β’ Hourly Rate: $65β$95/hr (commensurate with experience) β’ Hours: ~15-25 hours per week, flexible scheduling β’ Classification: Independent contractor (1099) To apply, please email your rΓ©sumΓ© and a brief paragraph answering: β’ Whatβs your experience with discovery-heavy litigation? β’ Why does a 15-25 hour-per-week structure fit your goals?
