As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be responsible for performing design work, contributing to projects, and serving as a technical contributor on cross-functional teams. You will work in a hybrid model for this role What you will do β’ Design, develop, modify, and verify mechanical components and sub-systems for medical devices under minimal supervision. β’ Translate user and clinical needs into engineering specifications, producing sub-system and component-level designs that are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-efficient. β’ Develop and analyze solutions through prototyping, testing, and verification to demonstrate proof of concept and ensure design robustness. β’ Apply advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex product design issues and make data-driven design tradeoffs with minimal supervision. β’ Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing to advance projects through the full development lifecycle. β’ Create and refine engineering documentation, including Design History Files, design documents, and reports, in alignment with design controls and risk management per the Quality Management System. β’ Demonstrate a strong understanding of product use, clinical procedures, and customer needs to inform design inputs and enhance patient outcomes. β’ Uphold compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements while delivering high-quality results with ownership, energy, and accountability. What you need Required Qualifications: β’ Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, BioMedical, or related discipline. β’ 2+ years of work experience in mechanical engineering. β’ Working knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and design principles. β’ Knowledge of design and concept generation CAD tools(SolidWorks preferred) Preferred Qualifications: β’ Experience/Knowledge working with Polymers or injection Molding preferred. β’ Knowledge of analysis tools (i.e., DFMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, FEA, Stack-ups, etc.) and statistical methods (i.e., leveraging Minitab for ANOVA, normality testing, confidence calculations, etc.) & ANSYS β’ Technical ability to create engineering drawings and models, applying GD&T and CAE tools. β’ Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to product design. $77,200 - $160,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits.
