What you will be doing: Complete incoming triage calls and recommend the proper channel of care needed. β€’ Ability to use critical thinking skills and respond quickly and professionally under stressful, sometimes emergent situations. β€’ Must be comfortable sitting at a computer and talking on the phone for the workday. β€’ Provide clinical assessment and nursing triage to a wide variety of patients across the health continuum and/or health education to culturally diverse populations, including COVID-19. β€’ Assists in directing patients to the most appropriate level of care β€’ Provide telephonic health information and nursing education related to COVID-19 β€’ Assists and empowers patients to make better healthcare decisions β€’ Encourages patients to participate in other external programs or resources available to them to improve their health β€’ Work in collaboration with Telehealth providers by referring appropriate patients who may benefit from a virtual care visit β€’ Provide outbound follow-up calls as necessary Who/What we are looking for: β€’ Graduate or US-accredited nursing program with an active unrestricted RN license in good standing in the state of current residence β€’ Experience in Emergency Room, Inpatient Care, Case Management, Home Health, and/or Community Care Coordination services preferred β€’ Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and conflict-resolution skills β€’ Decisiveness, attention to detail, and proficiency with technology, including computers, software applications, phone systems, etc. β€’ Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software β€’ Pays attention to detail and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously β€’ Telephone triage experience is preferred but not required. β€’ Proficient computer skills utilizing and navigating multiple applications at one time, including Citrix, Outlook, MS Office, VPN, and basic computer problem-solving skills. β€’ Excellent customer service skills, including professional phone voice, empathy, and active listening skills β€’ Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. β€’ Clinical experience in and/or familiarity with the following areas is strongly recommended: Emergency Room, Inpatient Care, Case Management, Home Health, Managed Care, and/or Community Care, and Coordination services. β€’ Knowledge of the triage process β€’ Five to eight years of clinical experience is required β€’ Familiarity with call center tools and/or software, systems such as InContact, Genesys, Ayaya β€’ Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting standards relating to medical management and managed care β€’ Knowledge of medical terminology, claims processing, and Home Health regulations β€’ Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: β€’ Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the state where the candidate resides with the ability to obtain multi-state licensure is required β€’ Licensed under eNLC preferred (Compact license) β€’ May be required to obtain additional nursing licenses in other states as contractually required SCP Health and its affiliated companies require all applicants for a non-clinical position to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment, except where prohibited by state or local law.
