ExecutivePlacements.com is seeking a Senior Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer to manage the agile release train for a given value stream. The role involves facilitating PI Planning, enabling teams to remove impediments, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the success of scrum teams. Responsibilities β€’ Responsible for managing the agile release train for a given value stream and ensuring scrum team success. β€’ Responsible for planning and executing PI Planning, and for working with the teams to plan and execute other ART or teams level ceremonies β€’ Enable teams to remove impediments. Act as escalation point for impediments the team cannot remove in a timely manner β€’ Own escalated impediments and raise issues to leadership if they cannot be resolved in a timely manner β€’ Continuously work with teams and to deliver PI Objectives β€’ Owns the Risk, Issues, Action and Decision Register for a specific train β€’ Manage dependencies between Development Teams within and across Programs or Agile Release Trains β€’ Partner with stakeholders to identify and address staffing and tool needs β€’ Enable and coach teams to define capacity for PI Planning β€’ Develop and serve as owner of the program release communication plan; schedule and facilitate program release planning activities β€’ Gather and report performance information and metrics (e.g., Release burn down data, etc.) β€’ Update and communicate Release Plans β€’ Collaborate with Product Management, Systems Architects, teams as needed β€’ Build and maintain relationships with lines of business, teams, management, and key stakeholders β€’ Assist with developing and delivering training and workshops as requested β€’ Become an influential leader within for the team and promote Agility across Navy Federal β€’ Encourage teams to embrace a Lean/Agile Mindset β€’ Help resolve team conflicts when needed Skills β€’ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience β€’ Significant experience working in an agile transformation successfully coaching and transitioning teams, programs, and portfolios β€’ Scrum Master and RTE Certifications with extensive experience working in a SAFe and non SAFe environment β€’ 10+ years of combined experience working within Information Technology as a Project Manager, Program Manager, Scrum Master and/or Release Train Engineer β€’ Experience coaching agile teams and assessing their development maturity β€’ Experience working with tools such as Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, etc. β€’ Experience in creating reporting metrics and dashboards that illustrate the flow of value β€’ Experience in leading successful delivery teams β€’ Experience in software development managing multiple teams across a product area β€’ Experience as a Scrum Master or Delivery Lead in leading transformation β€’ Successful track record implementing Agile methodologies β€’ Experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors β€’ Experience in leading, guiding and coaching professional staff β€’ Ability to coach and mentor scrum teams and empower the delivery teams to embrace agility β€’ Ability to remove impediments that impact the team's planned execution β€’ Ability to create release plans and roadmaps needed for existing product or platform release β€’ Advanced skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes β€’ Advanced skill in motivating and uplifting team members using teaching/mentoring skills β€’ Advanced skill building effective relationships through rapport, trust, diplomacy and tact β€’ Advanced problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills β€’ Advanced verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills β€’ Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, diagramming, and presentation software skills β€’ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a matrixed environment β€’ Advanced skill to deliver presentations to virtual and in-person teams β€’ Experience with Service Now β€’ Working experience with ADO Company Overview β€’ Online recruitment It was founded in 2011, and is headquartered in Johannesburg, NA - South Africa, ZAF, with a workforce of 11-50 employees.
