Medixβ’ is a company specializing in healthcare staffing solutions, and they are seeking a Dental Payment Poster to manage payment posting and reconciliation processes. The role involves accurately posting payments, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with various teams to ensure timely reimbursement. Responsibilities β’ Post Payments & Adjustments β’ Accurately post insurance payments, patient payments, and contractual adjustments to the correct patient accounts. β’ Reconcile Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and electronic remittance advices (ERAs). β’ Apply write-offs and adjustments according to payer contracts and office policies. β’ Account Reconciliation β’ Verify posted payments against daily deposit logs and bank statements to ensure accuracy. β’ Identify posting errors, discrepancies, or missing payments and resolve them promptly. β’ Insurance & Revenue Cycle Support β’ Review denied or partially paid claims and forward issues to billing or insurance follow-up teams. β’ Assist with correcting claim information when necessary to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement. β’ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance codes, fee schedules, and payer rules. β’ Documentation & Reporting β’ Maintain organized and accurate documentation for daily payment posting activities. β’ Generate and review payment reports, posting summaries, and reconciliation logs. β’ Assist management with month-end closing tasks as needed. β’ Communication & Collaboration β’ Coordinate with the billing team, front office, and insurance coordinators to resolve payment issues. β’ Communicate discrepancies or patterns of underpayment or denials to appropriate team members. Skills β’ High school diploma or equivalent β’ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills β’ Ability to work independently and meet daily posting deadlines β’ Knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, and insurance terminology β’ Strong data entry and numerical accuracy β’ Effective communication and problem-solving abilities β’ Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism β’ Must have your own computer, high-speed internet connection, and a reliable phone or headset suitable for remote work β’ Additional training in medical/dental billing β’ Experience with dental billing, insurance payment posting, or revenue cycle management β’ Familiarity with dental coding (CDT codes) and common insurance carriers β’ Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Dentcon, Open Dental) β’ Minimum 2 years of experience β’ Strong computer skills, including experience with dental practice management or EHR systems β’ Effective written and verbal communication skills β’ Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively Benefits β’ Potential benefits package (details to be provided during interview) β’ Work-from-home flexibility and consistent weekday schedule Company Overview β’ Medix provides workforce solutions to clients and creates opportunity for contract employees.
