About the position The Endpoint Security Engineer at GuidePoint Security is responsible for supporting the design, build, and sustainment of endpoint-based cyber defense capabilities. This role involves daily interaction with various network security products and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity requirements and maintain production endpoint security solutions. Responsibilities β’ Implement and apply technologies, processes, and practices to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from malicious attacks. β’ Establish computing environments by designing system configurations, directing installations, and enforcing system standards. β’ Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection and implementation techniques to meet business needs. β’ Configure and install various security products utilizing Linux OS. β’ Research, analyze, and implement enterprise-wide security solutions to support customer goals. β’ Assist with design, analysis, testing, and implementation of secure architectures. β’ Oversee security infrastructure sustainment, maintenance, and advanced configuration. β’ Lead the reporting, documentation, and investigation of security incidents. Requirements β’ Experience maintaining Enterprise Cyber Security Engineering requirements using tools like HBSS, Carbon Black Response/Protection, Microsoft ATA, Tanium. β’ 3+ years of technical experience in Cybersecurity. β’ Experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a diverse environment. β’ Understanding of the DoD Architecture Framework and key DoD network architecture instructions. β’ Experience providing status reports to senior management and customers. β’ Experience with plans, designs, and evaluations of security systems and architectures. β’ Experience with Unix, RHELS OS, Windows Enterprise Active Directory architecture, and VMWare virtualization. β’ DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification. β’ Must hold or obtain a CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of hire.
