What’s in it for you Tired of repetitive accounting in a company that never changes? At EPI, you’ll help shape the financial backbone of a new European payment ecosystem. As a Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of accounting and reporting for our Belgian entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance while contributing to greater financial transparency across Europe. We embrace a remote-first culture, with quarterly meetups to stay connected and collaborative. Your impact • Manage day-to-day accounting operations for EPI’s Belgian entities, including invoices, expenses, VAT, and reconciliations • Prepare monthly closings and financial statements under Belgian GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance • Support regulatory and statistical reporting to the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) and other authorities • Produce management reporting packs and contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities • Coordinate payroll accounting and ensure timely tax and VAT filings • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to maintain robust internal controls • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen efficiency and reliability across finance operations Technology stack • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar • Excel / Google Sheets • Power BI or similar To succeed, you should meet at least 70% of these requirements • +5 years of hands-on experience in accounting or financial control within Belgian entities • Proven track record in preparing financial statements under Belgian GAAP and managing month-end closings • Experience in a consulting firm, providing strong technical foundations and rigor; exposure to banking or payments industry and regulatory or NBB reporting • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear communication with stakeholders • Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus • Share our values of transparency, collaboration, and European purpose, and thrive in a remote-first, multicultural environment Recruitment steps • First call with one of our recruiters • Interview with your Hiring manager • An interview with the Group CFO • Hopefully, an offer you can’t refuse Turn back if … • You’re looking for an already highly structured environment with no ambiguity • You prefer overseeing the numbers rather than working directly with them; this role is for someone who enjoys being hands-on and close to the data. • You prefer repetitive tasks over continuous process improvement and collaboration across countries Otherwise apply!
