This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States, Philippines Job Description: General Accountant for US Companies (Remote) Position: General Accountant Work Type: Full-Time, Remote Work Hours: 100% US Business Hours Location: Fully Remote (Candidate should have a professional work-from-home setup) About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled General Accountant to manage the end-to-end accounting processes for US-based companies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in US GAAP, proficiency in managing accounting platforms, and a strong background in working with American companies. This is a fully remote position requiring a dedicated and exclusive work-from-home setup. Key Responsibilities • Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable: Manage AP/AR processes, including billing, invoicing, and payment tracking. • Reconciliation: Perform periodic reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records. • Month-End and Year-End Closings: Ensure timely and accurate financial closings, including journal entries and adjustments. • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. • Budgeting & Tracking: Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and track financial performance against projections. • Compliance: Ensure adherence to US GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. • Software Utilization: Work efficiently using accounting platforms like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, SAP, and similar tools. • Communication & Collaboration: Coordinate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to address financial inquiries and reporting needs. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Certifications: CPA or equivalent certification is required. QuickBooks Certification or similar platform-specific certifications are a plus. • Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in accounting. • Proven experience working with US-based companies. • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and related compliance requirements. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency with accounting software, including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, SAP, or similar platforms. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting. • Remote Work Setup: • Exclusive home office setup with a stable high-speed internet connection and backup power source.
