Pennsylvania Sr Title Examiner / Title Reader SUMMARY: Responsible for examining / reading titles PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: β’ Examine/read and evaluate land title records in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania β’ Examine/read documentation such as deeds, mortgages, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, restrictions, and plats/maps to determine ownership, encumbrances, and to verify legal descriptions of property β’ Analyze and evaluate records relating to property taxes, federal and state inheritance/estate taxes, liens, judgments, bankruptcy filings, foreclosures, chancery proceedings and other records to be read into the title binder or informational report β’ Identify if the title to a property in question has easements or restrictions that may prevent or hinder its sale or otherwise affect ownership β’ Analyze chain of title, and/or defects in the chain of title, and prepare reports outlining title-related matters β’ Examine title records from outside abstractors and seek additional information from abstractors where necessary for complete and proper examination β’ Synthesize the information from all of the above and prepare property reports and title commitments β’ Resolve any issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate or contradictory information contained in the title documentation β’ Confer with our clients' to exchange title-related information or to resolve problems QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: β’ 3-10 yearsβ experience with commercial and residential title examination/reading required β’ Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented and highly productive manner β’ Proficient with Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Adobe β’ Knowledge of local abstracting procedures β’ Familiarity and experience with the above responsibilities β’ Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing β’ Ability to work both independently and contribute in every aspect to a team environment β’ Experience with Title Fusion (f/k/a Title Desktop) by AccuTitle, Tracker Pro, Title Express / TSS, Snap Close and/or SoftPro is a plus β’ Licensed PA Title Producer Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits: β’ 401(k) β’ 401(k) matching β’ Dental insurance β’ Employee assistance program β’ Employee discount β’ Flexible spending account β’ Health insurance β’ Health savings account β’ Life insurance β’ Paid time off β’ Professional development assistance β’ Retirement plan β’ Vision insurance Experience: β’ Title Examining: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: β’ Pennsylvania Title Producers license (Required) Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
