Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher-Virtual Campus (Remote, Part Time Position) Provide specialized instruction and targeted supports to students with mild to moderate disabilities, aligned with IDEA and USBE SER. Freedom Preparatory Academy, an accredited K–12 public charter school, is hiring a part-time Virtual Special Education Teacher effective immediately. Why Work at Freedom Prep: Supportive, collaborative SPED team Competitive salary, benefits, and retirement Strong professional development and resources Key Responsibilities: ✔ Case Management: Write compliant IEPs and eligibility documentation, coordinate services, lead IEP meetings, communicate with families and teachers, monitor IEP implementation, and ensure all timelines and compliance requirements are met. ✔ Provide specialized instruction and accommodations per each student’s IEP ✔ Administer academic assessments ✔ Support students in developing appropriate behavior and functional skills ✔ Train and supervise paraeducators ✔ Collaborate with families, administrators, and staff to support student growth Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Utah K-12 Special Education teaching license Experience with IEP development and case management preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
