About the position The Madras Pioneer, an award winning community newspaper, seeks a robust news editor or reporter to lead our news coverage. Successful candidate must be comfortable writing hard news and features, taking photos, have a grasp of AP Style, and be able to work at a fast pace and on a deadline. We are an online and print operation. Responsibilities • Lead news coverage for the publication • Write hard news and feature articles • Take photographs for news stories • Ensure adherence to AP Style • Work under tight deadlines Requirements • Experience in news writing and reporting • Proficiency in AP Style • Ability to work at a fast pace • Comfortable with both online and print media Benefits • Good salary • Full-time job with 40 hours a week • Some work at home hours permitted • Some after hours/weekend work required Apply tot his job
