Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. West End Workforce is building a new kind of AI that remembers you, creating private, personal models to enhance communication. They are seeking a Frontend Engineer to lead the development of their next generation web application using React, TypeScript, and TanStack Query. Responsibilities • Build new user facing features in React and TypeScript, from reusable components to full end to end flows • Use TanStack Query / React Query to manage server state, data fetching, caching, and background updates for a responsive, offline tolerant experience • Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers to define APIs, interaction patterns, and edge cases • Implement pixel accurate UIs from Figma or equivalent design tools, with attention to performance, accessibility, and cross browser behavior • Maintain a clean component architecture, shared UI libraries, and sensible patterns for routing, forms, and state management • Write tests for critical logic and components, participate in code reviews, and help improve our front end tooling and CI • Profile and optimize performance, including bundle size, network usage, and perceived responsiveness • Contribute to product discovery by sharing implementation feedback, proposing UX improvements, and rapidly prototyping ideas Skills • 4 plus years of professional front end experience building production web applications • Strong proficiency with React and modern TypeScript, including hooks, context, and component composition patterns • Hands on experience integrating REST or GraphQL APIs and handling authentication, pagination, error states, and optimistic updates • Practical experience with TanStack Query or similar tools for server state management is strongly preferred • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and accessibility best practices • Comfort working in modern JavaScript tooling environments such as Vite, Next.js, or similar stacks • Experience with automated testing on the front end such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Playwright • Ability to work autonomously in a remote first environment, communicate clearly in writing, and collaborate across time zones • Experience working on AI powered products or applications that integrate with LLMs or vector search • Background in products focused on personal productivity, knowledge management, or memory • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries, and contributing to shared UI standards Company Overview • At West End Workforce, we are proud to be a women-owned and women-led recruitment platform.
