Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. South6 is seeking IT Forensic Analysts to assist with cyber breach investigations with a large systems integrator. This is short-term project work and not necessarily full-time, requiring expertise in digital forensic analysis and incident reporting. Responsibilities β’ Conduct digital forensic analysis through evidence acquisition, analysis of email forensics, registry, users, data carving, artifacts, memory, files, logs, browsers, timelines, file systems, malware, anti-forensic detection, and social media forensics, among others β’ Provide clear updates to management on security incidents; Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends β’ Write and publish incident findings to appropriate constituencies β’ Populate and maintain an error-free chain of custody related to each drive forensically imaged Skills β’ Conduct digital forensic analysis through evidence acquisition, analysis of email forensics, registry, users, data carving, artifacts, memory, files, logs, browsers, timelines, file systems, malware, anti-forensic detection, and social media forensics, among others β’ Provide clear updates to management on security incidents; Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends β’ Write and publish incident findings to appropriate constituencies β’ Populate and maintain an error-free chain of custody related to each drive forensically imaged Company Overview β’ South 6 is a recruitment and staffing firm specializing in executive searches, placements, system audits, as well as consulting services.
