The Contract Specialist II plays a critical role in managing contracts, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborating with various teams to secure favorable terms. Responsibilities β€’ Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract language and rates β€’ Ensuring all documentation is accessible to DHMSO staff electronically and in hardcopy β€’ Ensuring all contracts comply with relevant laws and organizational policies β€’ Collaborating closely with legal, finance, and compliance teams to mitigate risks and secure favorable terms β€’ Monitoring contract performance, compliance, and renewal dates β€’ Maintaining a comprehensive contract management system for accurate record-keeping β€’ Acting as a primary contact for external partners on contract matters β€’ Organizing and attending relevant meetings β€’ Performing general office and clerical duties β€’ Securing one-case agreements with non-contracted providers when needed β€’ Providing administrative support to designated management staff Skills β€’ 6+ years experience working in a high-level administrative support position β€’ 2+ years working in a medical group, health plan, hospital or other related healthcare organization β€’ In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute β€’ Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field β€’ Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and administration β€’ Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field preferred β€’ 8+ years experience working in a high-level administrative support position preferred β€’ 4+ years working in a medical group, health plan, hospital or other related healthcare organization preferred Benefits β€’ Flexible Health & Welfare benefits package β€’ Medical, dental and vision plans β€’ Health Spending Account (HSA) β€’ Life Insurance β€’ Long Term Disability β€’ 401k retirement plan with a generous employer-match β€’ Paid Time Off β€’ Sick Leave Company Overview β€’ Dignity Health is a healthcare facility that offers physical, mental, and spiritual care.
