In this role, you will evaluate clinical information, determine medical necessity, and collaborate closely with external providers to ensure timely and accurate case determinations. Key Responsibilities • Perform timely, compliant medical necessity reviews for inpatient services • Ensure determinations follow CMS regulations, national guidelines, and internal standards • Communicate clinical decisions clearly—both verbally and in written format • Meet established productivity, quality, and compliance goals • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external providers • Adapt to evolving utilization management processes, tools, and workflows • Participate in required educational or training activities Required Qualifications • MD or DO degree • Minimum of 5 years of post-residency/fellowship direct patient care (inpatient or Medicare-type population preferred) • Active Board Certification in an ABMS-recognized specialty • Unrestricted medical license in at least one U.S. state (willing to obtain additional licenses as needed) • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • Proven analytical and clinical interpretation abilities • Experience working in a collaborative team environment Preferred Qualifications • Background in managed care (Medicare Advantage, Managed Medicaid, Commercial) • Prior experience in Utilization Management • Familiarity with MCG® or InterQual guidelines • Clinical experience in IM, FM, Geriatrics, Hospitalist, Emergency Medicine, or related specialties • Tech-forward mindset with adaptability to new tools and workflows • Commitment to innovation and positive team culture Interview Process • All interviews conducted virtually via Zoom • Single interview with the Lead Medical Director • Quick decision process Apply tot his job
