Remote Contract Attorney – San Antonio Area (Texas Licensed) Silberman Law Firm, PLLC About the Firm Silberman Law Firm is a dynamic and growing Texas-based law firm with over a decade of operational success. We have offices throughout the state and a team of 20+ attorneys practicing in real estate, business law, probate, and litigation. Our firm also maintains a fee attorney relationship with Fidelity National Title, supporting a strong transactional real estate practice. Efficiency and innovation are core to our operations—we leverage cloud-based systems, AI tools, digital file storage, and remote workflows to deliver legal services across Texas. About the Position We are seeking a Texas-licensed attorney to join our team on a 1099 contract basis, with a primary focus on our San Antonio Area market. This role is primarily remote, though some in-person appearances for court hearings and client meetings will be required. Responsibilities • Handle firm-assigned matters in business, real estate, probate, or litigation (no prior experience required, but helpful). • Collaborate with support and the supervising attorney to efficiently manage workload. Compensation Structure • Paid biweekly at 1/3 of collected billables (example: $400/hr billing rate = $133/hr to contractor). • Workload: 20–30 hours/week with firm-generated work and flat-fee matters (e.g., deeds at $500 per file). Ideal Candidate • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. • Strong writing, research, and communication skills. • Willingness to learn and develop litigation skills. • Comfortable working in a virtual, tech-driven environment. • For conflicts checks purposes, the position is not ideal for lawyers already doing contract work for several firms or already has a robust practice in the same practice areas as our firm. • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and time management.
