Job Description
ShorelineHudson is seeking a task-oriented, initiative-driven candidate with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills to join our team as a Maritime Compliance and Incident Response Team Member. This is a remote role, with the position based in California. You must have current legal authorization to work in the United States to be considered for this position. As a Maritime Compliance and Incident Response Team Member, you will work with team members and clients to: β’ Perform oil spill response management duties β’ Support client vesselsβ day-to-day operations in U.S. waters and worldwide trade β’ Perform regulatory required filings β’ Liaise with vessel Captains and client points of contact as well as Federal, State, and local officials to support vessel operations, incident response, and regulatory compliance β’ Attend client vessels in the United States to support port state control inspections β’ Provide administrative support to ShorelineHudson day-to-day operations, including processing electronic Notice of Arrival/Departure and Cargo Manifest filing (ACE/AMS) β’ Respond to oil pollution and vessel casualties on behalf of clients as required β’ Participate in after-hours duty rotation Qualifications: β’ Knowledge or experience (at least five years) in maritime industry / United States Coast Guard preferred β’ Minimum high school diploma β’ OSRO and/or oil spill response experience preferred β’ Candidates with undergraduate or advanced degree preferred β’ Training or certifications relevant to the maritime sector preferred β’ Functional knowledge of maritime industry standards and best practices β’ Functional knowledge of various regulatory regime frameworks and models, such as CWA, OPAβ90, ICS, USCG, EPA VGP, OSHA, Ballast Compliance, ACE/AMS, eNOA, ECA, MARPOL, Annex I-VI, AK/CA/WA State requirements, and IMO β’ Available to work flex schedule, which includes after-hours/weekend duty. β’ Current legal authorization to work in the United States Please apply through LinkedIn or e-mail resume with cover letter (including salary requirements) to [email protected].
