Client Development Attorney (IP & Cross-Border Focus) Location: United States (Remote or Hybrid Considered) Practice Area: Intellectual Property / Cross-Border Disputes / Trademark & Commercial Matters Language: English & Mandarin (Required) Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Position Overview We are seeking a Client Development Attorney to join our practice, with a primary focus on case intake, client acquisition, and cross-border (U.S.βChina) intellectual property and commercial dispute matters. This role is ideal for an attorney who is legally trained, business-minded, and comfortable engaging clients, including through content creation, social media, and personal branding (legal IP). The position works closely with our litigation team and partners and plays a key role in originating matters, qualifying cases, and converting leads into active engagements. Key Responsibilities β’ Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective U.S. and China-based clients β’ Conduct initial case evaluations, client consultations, and matter intake for IP and commercial disputes β’ Explain litigation strategies, jurisdictional options, timelines, and risks to clients in a clear and practical manner β’ Collaborate with litigation attorneys and partners to transition qualified matters into active cases β’ Participate in marketing and business development, including: β’ Legal content creation (articles, short videos, social media posts) β’ Personal or firm-branded self-media / legal IP development β’ Educational content focused on U.S.βChina legal issues, IP enforcement, and dispute resolution β’ Maintain compliance with applicable attorney advertising and ethics rules β’ Assist with cross-border coordination involving U.S. and China counsel Qualifications β’ Legally authorized to work in the United States β’ Licensed attorney in the United States (any state) β’ Licensed attorney in China (Bar) β’ Background in intellectual property, commercial litigation, or cross-border legal matters preferred β’ Strong communication and client-facing skills β’ Comfortable appearing on camera or writing publicly-facing legal content (training/support available) β’ Ability to explain complex legal issues in a client-friendly, business-oriented manner β’ High level of professionalism, responsiveness, and trust-building ability β’ Prior experience in client development, consulting, sales, or self-media is a strong plus What We Value β’ Strong client conversion and relationship-building skills β’ Business awareness and a growth mindset β’ Ethical, compliant, and responsible marketing behavior β’ Cross-cultural fluency between U.S. and China legal environments β’ Willingness to build a long-term personal legal brand aligned with the firm What We Offer β’ Flexible structure (remote or hybrid) β’ Direct access to high-value cross-border matters β’ Support from experienced U.S. litigation partners β’ Opportunity to build a recognized legal self-media / professional IP β’ Competitive compensation, with: β’ Base compensation (depending on experience) β’ Performance-based commissions or revenue share tied to originated matters β’ Long-term growth path into senior BD, counsel, or partner-track roles Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
