IT Associates is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer with strong experience in end-to-end testing of custom retail e-commerce platforms. In this role, you will help ensure the highest quality of the e-commerce site by maintaining comprehensive test strategies that validate the full customer journey from browsing to post-order flows. Responsibilities β’ Develop and implement end-to-end (E2E) test strategies covering the complete customer flow on the e-commerce platform β including search & browse, product details, cart, checkout, payments, order confirmation, and post-purchase experiences β’ Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and E2E tests across web, mobile, APIs, and backend systems β’ Validate critical integrations with payment gateways, shipping providers, tax services, inventory/OMS, and ERP systems β’ Create and maintain detailed and reusable test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements and user stories β’ Define test data requirements and manage environments to support consistent and repeatable testing β’ Identify, document, and report defects clearly with steps to reproduce, severity, and expected vs. actual behavior β’ Work with developers and product owners to triage issues, validate fixes, and ensure timely resolution β’ Support or develop automated test scripts and frameworks to accelerate regression testing and increase overall test coverage β’ Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality validation β’ Partner with cross-disciplinary teams β product, design, backend, DevOps β to clarify acceptance criteria, discuss edge cases, and contribute to quality outcomes during sprint planning and refinement β’ Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities β’ Identify issues that impact user experience, performance, or edge-case user journeys, and provide insights to mitigate them before release Skills β’ 5+ years of QA or Quality Engineering experience, focused on Large e-commerce, retail platforms β’ Demonstrated experience designing and executing end-to-end test strategies and scenarios β’ Strong functional testing skills across UI, APIs, and backend flows β’ Good experience with test management and defect tracking tools like Azure Devops β’ Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) and the ability to collaborate on automation approaches β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills β’ Clear communication skills for reporting bugs and test results to technical and non-technical stakeholders β’ Strong attention to detail and user-focused quality mindset β’ Experience with retail checkout flows, tax and shipping APIs, inventory systems, and payment processor integrations β’ Exposure to Agile development processes β’ Previous work on custom e-commerce platforms (not just off-the-shelf SaaS solutions) β’ Comfortable with data and integration testing, including API validation and basic SQL queries Benefits β’ Medical β’ Dental β’ Retirement β’ Other benefits Company Overview β’ IT Associates provides businesses and organizations with IT, data, consulting, and communications services and equipment.
