Comstock Companies is seeking a Motion Designer / 2Dā3D Animator to create high-impact animated content for large-format display systems. The role involves producing visually compelling motion graphics optimized for various playback systems while collaborating with technical teams. Responsibilities ā¢ Creating animated visual content for large format displays such as LED walls, projection systems, video walls and similar ā¢ Developing and executing 2D animations based on concepts and storyboards ā¢ Producing high level animation in After Effects including motion graphics, transitions, and timing synchronization ā¢ Collaborating with the technical team to ensure animations are adapted to screen specifications such as resolution, aspect ratio and codec ā¢ Exporting video content in appropriate formats and optimizing assets ā¢ Flexibility to produce and adjust animations in real time to accommodate evolving content needs and last-minute requirements Skills ā¢ Professional knowledge of After Effects and adobe suite with hands-on experience ā¢ Strong ability to design and execute animations with a clear sense of composition, timing, synchronization, and visual flow ā¢ Experience working with multi-resolution displays or willingness to learn quickly ā¢ Portfolio in the form of animated videos, 3D renders, or a showreel ā¢ Familiar with both Windows and Mac operating systems ā¢ Available to work remotely outside normal business hours ā¢ Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn and grow ā¢ Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills ā¢ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment ā¢ Knowledge of 3D software such as Cinema 4D, Blender, Maya, or similar ā¢ Experience working with Redshift or other GPU-based renderers ā¢ Familiarity with TouchDesigner or Notch for real-time generative content ā¢ Experience creating content for screenings or art installations ā¢ Experience with multimedia shows, live events, or theatrical productions Company Overview ā¢ Comstock is a real estate company that provides management services to lenders, owners and municipalities with interests in real estate.
