The Pre-Litigation Paralegal Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the pre-litigation team, managing paralegals and ensuring efficient workflows while maintaining quality and compliance. Responsibilities β’ Directly manage, mentor, and support pre-litigation paralegals β’ Assign workloads, monitor performance, and ensure coverage across all teams β’ Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and coaching sessions β’ Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new paralegals β’ Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture β’ Oversee case workflows to ensure timely progression β’ Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements β’ Coordinate with attorneys to ensure paralegal support aligns with case strategy β’ Ensure accurate case documentation, reporting, and data entry β’ Develop, maintain, and refine standard operating procedures for pre-litigation support β’ Ensure compliance with firm policies, ethical standards, and jurisdictional requirements β’ Monitor case metrics and KPIs to evaluate efficiency and performance β’ Implement best practices to improve productivity, quality control, and client service β’ Work closely with intake, medical records, demand, litigation, and settlement teams β’ Serve as a point of contact for operational issues affecting case flow β’ Communicate staffing needs, workload trends, and operational challenges to leadership Skills β’ 5+ years of experience in a law firm environment, with pre-litigation and/or litigation cases β’ Prior experience managing paralegals or legal support staff required β’ Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills β’ Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment β’ Proficiency with case management systems and legal software β’ Leadership and team development β’ Process optimization and operational oversight β’ Strong attention to detail and deadline-driven mindset β’ Problem-solving and decision-making abilities β’ Clear and professional communication β’ Strong understanding of personal injury or civil litigation processes Benefits β’ Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and protection plans β’ 4% 401(k) company match β’ Company-paid holidays, two floating holidays, and five paid sick days β’ Generous paid time off Company Overview β’ TopDog Law is a personal injury law firm that helps injured people and families.
