About the position Our client in the industrial energy sector is seeking entry-level Electrical Engineers near Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for Electrical Engineering graduates who want to learn how Power Distribution Centers (PDCs) / E-Houses, along with their components, are designed and manufactured. You will receive hands-on training, gradually taking on responsibilities across design, documentation, and shop support while working with experienced engineers and designers. Responsibilities β’ Support power distribution equipment projects β’ Learn PDC/E-House design fundamentals through training β’ Assist with equipment layouts, single-line diagrams, and simple wiring diagrams β’ Draft in AutoCAD with templates and guidance β’ Perform basic engineering calculations (load, voltage drop, equipment sizing) β’ Help create bills of materials (BOMs) for internal and client use β’ Participate in code, standards, and constructability reviews with senior team members β’ Review vendor documentation and capture relevant technical information β’ Coordinate activities with engineers, designers, and project managers β’ Provide shop support by shadowing builds and logging issues β’ Collaborate across engineering, production, and quality teams Requirements β’ Bachelorβs degree in electrical engineering is required β’ Strong willingness to learn power distribution equipment design is required β’ Basic AutoCAD drafting proficiency required β’ Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment are required β’ Ability to work on-site Monday- Thursday is required (Fridays: work from home option available) Benefits β’ Medical β’ Dental β’ Vision β’ 401k (3% match) β’ Vacation β’ Generous Holidays Apply tot his job
