This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Washington (USA) The Test Engineer will responsible for reviewing test requirements, designing a test, executing the test, and writing the report. The Test Engineer will work closely with internal and external customers to ensure the testing meets requirements and is conducted in a timely manner. The Test Engineer will work as part of a team of engineers and technicians to complete the testing activities. Tasks: β€’ Assist in the drafting of test requirements β€’ Author the test design documents, test procedures, test report, and supporting documents β€’ Collaborate with internal customers to translate conceptual requirements into actionable test specifications, including design input, instrumentation strategy, and success criteria. β€’ Define, select, and validate measurement instrumentation including force, displacement, strain, and temperature sensors (e.g., load cells, LVDTs, encoders, RTDs, etc.). β€’ Coordinate cross-functional efforts including fixture design, control system integration, and lab space planning, leveraging technicians, designers, and facility personnel as needed. β€’ Manage test campaigns from concept through execution and reporting, including test setup, system validation, and post-test analysis. β€’ Support safe execution of testing activities, which may include working at elevated heights (typically under 60 ft). β€’ Under the guidance of Senior Test Engineers, support the coordination of testing activities for setup and commissioning of experimental equipment. β€’ Support continuous learning and application of nuclear industry best practices in order to maintain the highest quality of engineering design and proactively identify process change/enhancement opportunities. Key Qualifications and Skills: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of Engineering β€’ Greater than three (3) years of relevant experience in a testing / research and development environment preferred. β€’ Experience with post-processing and documenting experiments. β€’ Experience with multiple types of testing (R&D, Acceptance, Validation, Qualification) β€’ Experience working with strain, vibration, linear motion, static loading, dynamic loading preferred β€’ Working on large complex mechanical systems preferred β€’ Practical understanding of mechanical testing concepts such as force/displacement application, structural deflection, dynamic loading, vibration/impact, and environmental exposure. β€’ Awareness of common dimensional/inspection tools and motion capture technologies (e.g., Faro trackers, CMMs), even if not directly operating them. β€’ Ability to handle projects that include multiple objectives and ability to resolve conflicts between objectives. β€’ Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently during a given work week. β€’ Excellent writing and communication skills. β€’ Safety conscience. β€’ Ability to operate within a lightly structured environment where test development requires a mix of standards-based guidance and first-principles problem solving. β€’ Familiarity with engineering tools such as LabVIEW, SolidWorks, Jira/Confluence, and the Microsoft Office 365 suite is preferred. β€’ The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trustworthiness and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork β€’ Strong communication skills desired.
