Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to providing high-quality mental health care. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children and families, to promote emotional well-being and support individuals in their journey toward mental health recovery. Responsibilities - Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of clients. - Utilize evidence-based practices such as Behavioral Therapy to guide treatment plans. - Perform thorough assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions. - Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. - Engage in case management activities to coordinate care and resources for clients. - Collect data on client progress and outcomes to inform treatment adjustments. - Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for shared experiences. - Implement specialized therapies as appropriate for clients' needs. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: β’ Meet with clients for counseling and maintain a client caseload (available options for visits include in-office and virtually through telehealth). β’ Conduct intakes and psychosocial assessments. β’ Diagnose symptoms and recommend appropriate interventions. β’ Complete clinical documentation per agency standards, government policies, and CARF requirements. β’ Communicate and collaborate with staff members and its affiliate organizations for scheduling, documentation, and client care. β’ Assist with mental health emergencies as needed. Requirements - Masterβs degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. - Valid state licensure or certification as a Mental Health Therapist in the State of Maryland. (LMSW, LCSW, LGPC, etc) - Experience in Child Family Counseling is preferred but not required. - Knowledge of case management practices and familiarity with medical records management. - Previous experience in group therapy settings is a plus.
