I'm looking for a seasoned copy editor, ghostwriter, and publishing professional to help take my narrative nonfiction manuscript — American Titans — across the finish line and make it KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) print-ready. The book is approximately 200,000 words and maybe 80% complete, with the remaining part requiring professional refinement, editing, and polish to align with bestseller-quality standards in the genres of narrative nonfiction, biography, and popular history. About the Book: American Titans (code name for now) is a sweeping, cinematic work profiling 80+ visionaries who shaped America’s rise — from founding fathers to modern tech rebels. Think Sapiens meets Titan, with the narrative punch of a TED Talk and the rigor of Harvard Business Review. Each chapter is designed to read like a standalone story, blending: Underdog arcs, world-changing ideas, and reinventions Emotional, cinematic storytelling grounded in facts Themes of resilience, innovation, identity, and global impact What I Need: I'm seeking someone who can act as a final-mile partner — not just fixing typos, but elevating the manuscript's structure, clarity, and emotional impact while preparing it for KDP print and ebook formats. Your responsibilities may include: ✅ Deep copy editing (tone, flow, clarity, grammar, consistency) ✅ Structural suggestions (story arc, transitions, pacing, redundancies) ✅ Ghostwriting enhancements or polishing sections for stronger narrative cohesion ✅ Preparing final layout for KDP Print + Ebook ✅ Spotting and correcting any formatting, citation, or style inconsistencies ✅ Ensuring language appeals to a global, general audience (age 15+) Ideal Candidate: Native English speaker Experienced with nonfiction or biography (please link to previous work) Familiar with narrative nonfiction techniques — blending story with insight Hands-on experience preparing manuscripts for KDP publishing (print + ebook) Strong eye for both macro storytelling and micro language polishing Passion for history, leadership, or innovation themes is a bonus!
