Job Summary: The Assurance Experienced Manager, IS Assurance is responsible for leading a team of IS Assurance professionals in the review, documentation, evaluation and testing of information technology processes and controls in a wide range of environments. Job Duties: β€’ Documents and tests IT general and application controls for a wide range of software packages and technology platforms β€’ Prepares audit reports and recommendations associated with IS audit work performed and reviews them with the client and audit team β€’ Identifies opportunities to utilize computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) and manages the implementation of those techniques, as appropriate β€’ Participates in the review of internal controls based on Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements β€’ Communicates to the client areas to improve processes, strengthen controls, mitigate risks, and/or increase efficiency β€’ Identifies and prioritizes key risks, and assesses their impact and likeliness of occurrence β€’ Recognizes technical concerns or issues and communicates those concerns with IS Assurance management β€’ Recognizes and validates relevant technical issues and brings them to the attention of client management β€’ Manages and reviews the IS audit work on assigned engagements β€’ Reviews the work product of IS Assurance Staff β€’ Ensures technology is appropriately integrated into the audit process β€’ Acts as primary client contact for all questions and issues β€’ Develops and maintains relationships with client personnel and management β€’ Conducts client interviews to obtain relevant information β€’ Oversees controls, tests performed and results β€’ Other duties as required Supervisory Responsibilities: β€’ Supervises the day-to-day workload of IS Senior Associates and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product β€’ Ensures IS Assurance Senior Associates and Associates are trained on all relevant IS Assurance software and resources β€’ Evaluates the performance of IS Assurance Senior Associates and Associates and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional development β€’ Delivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for IS Assurance Senior Associates and Associates β€’ Acts as mentor to IS Assurance Senior Associates and Associates, as appropriate Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Education: β€’ Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or Information Systems, required β€’ Master's in Information Systems or other relevant advanced degree, preferred Experience: β€’ More than six (6) years of experience of information systems auditing experience, required β€’ More than four (4) years of supervisory experience, required β€’ Prior experience working within a public accounting or Internal Auditing environment, preferred β€’ Prior experience performing IT general controls and application control reviews, preferred β€’ Prior experience performing SAS70 (now SOC) engagements, preferred License/Certifications: β€’ CPA, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CISSP and/or CFE certification, required Software: β€’ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, preferred β€’ Exposure to various industry ERP applications, highly preferred β€’ Exposure to operating systems (e.g., UNIX, OS400, LINUX); and databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL), preferred Language: β€’ N/A Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: β€’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills β€’ Strong analytical and basic research skills β€’ Solid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on details β€’ Ability to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environment β€’ Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously β€’ Capable of effective managing a team of professionals and delegating work assignments as needed β€’ Build and maintain strong relationships with client personnel β€’ Ability to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnel β€’ Executive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagements β€’ Ability to successfully interact with professionals at all levels β€’ Advanced knowledge of internal controls β€’ Ability to travel up to 30% Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
