Role summary Karv Automation is seeking a civil engineer to act as a project coordinator, managing supplier discovery and negotiation while supporting remote project delivery and marketing activities for Australian and international construction projects. Key responsibilities β’ Coordinate endtoend civil projects: plan tasks, track progress, update programs and report to management using project management tools. β’ Read, interpret and review architectural, structural and civil plans, specifications and BOQs, and coordinate RFIs where details are unclear. β’ Discover, prequalify and onboard new suppliers, subcontractors and trades across multiple regions and categories. β’ Lead quotation processes: issue RFQs, compare quotations, clarify inclusions/exclusions and recommend suppliers based on price, quality and lead times. β’ Negotiate commercial terms, delivery schedules and service levels with suppliers and trades in a professional manner. β’ Coordinate daily with site engineers, contractors and internal design/estimation teams to ensure smooth execution and resolve site issues. β’ Implement quality control checks against drawings, specifications and checklists; follow up on defects, rework and closeout items. β’ Maintain accurate records of plans, revisions, correspondence, quotations, purchase orders and project status in shared systems. β’ Support marketing: contribute technical inputs to case studies, capability statements, proposals and social media content showcasing project quality. Skills & qualifications β’ Bachelors degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering with strong understanding of drawings, construction methods and site practices. β’ Proven experience in project coordination, supplier management and negotiation in construction or engineering projects. β’ Ability to confidently read and understand architectural, structural and civil plans and translate them into clear scopes for suppliers and trades. β’ Handson experience with project management and collaboration tools (MS Project, Primavera, Asana, Trello or similar) and MS Office / Google Workspace. β’ Strong communication skills in English for client, supplier and internal team interactions via email, calls and online meetings. β’ Exposure to quality control processes, site checklists, ITPs or similar, and closing out defects and nonconformances. β’ Desirable: Experience on Australian or international projects, familiarity with CRM and email marketing tools, and basic social media and graphic design skills (Canva/Adobe). Preferable / Good to Have β’ Experience working with Australian / international construction or engineering projects. β’ Prior experience in marketing, business development or client relationship management. β’ Familiarity with CRM tools and email marketing platforms.
