Job Summary Arete Educational Consulting is looking for a new team member to assist its lead counselors. The ideal candidate loves education and empowering others, is extremely organized and detail-oriented, and demonstrates unwavering integrity and strong commitment. We are a small business and tight-knit team looking for someone who can wear many hats and provide support in a variety of areas as needed: Admissions Support β’ Take notes during our counselor-client meetings and provide session summaries to clients β’ Conduct research on and become familiar with summer programs, extracurricular opportunities, and contest/publications and support students throughout the application/submission process β’ Oversee the editorial process for our quarterly newsletter to 5,000+ subscribers, including brainstorming topics, organizing content, and building the newsletter in Mailchimp, as well as writing and editing copy for the newsletter β’ Review written content in our proprietary College Counseling Guide to ensure it is up to date Tutor Coordination/Hiring β’ Work closely with tutor coordinator to help strategize tutor-student pairings β’ Create job postings, review tutor applications, and schedule/conduct interviews with prospective candidates for both Arete and TCD Skills β’ Bachelorβs Degree from a top four-year institution β’ Interest in high school counseling and/or college admissions field is a plus β’ Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and tackle multiple tasks diligently and independently β’ Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with accountability to deadlines β’ Extraordinary grammar, writing, and editing skills β’ Reliable, punctual, and committed β’ Ability to handle confidential information and uphold high standards of integrity and ethical conduct β’ Team player willing to wear many hats β’ Proficiency with Google Docs Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 β 40 per week Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job
