Job Summary: The Data Scientist II will support advanced analytics and artificial intelligence initiatives using large-scale real-world and clinicogenomic datasets. This role focuses on extracting and analyzing electronic health record data to support genome-wide association studies and related discovery efforts. The position works independently while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary data science team to generate actionable insights from complex biobank resources. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Apply advanced analytics and artificial intelligence methods to large-scale phenotyping and real-world datasets β€’ Extract and curate patient cohorts from electronic health record data for genome-wide association studies and related analyses β€’ Perform data mining and data preparation using Linux command line tools β€’ Develop reusable scripts and analytical workflows using R, Python, Spark, or SQL β€’ Learn and enhance existing automated electronic health record phenotyping pipelines β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance phenomics and data science initiatives β€’ Communicate analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders Required Qualifications: β€’ Doctoral degree with two to three years of experience or Master’s degree with five years of relevant experience β€’ Strong experience in data curation and mining using Linux command line environments β€’ Advanced analytics and statistical modeling experience β€’ Proficiency in programming with R, Python, Spark, or SQL and writing reusable scripts β€’ Experience working with large longitudinal healthcare or biobank datasets β€’ Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Background in biostatistics or genetics β€’ Experience with genome-wide association studies or clinicogenomic data analysis β€’ Familiarity with modern artificial intelligence and machine learning methodologies β€’ Experience working with real-world data in healthcare or life sciences Benefits: The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually – as applicable.
