We specialize in classical computerâvision algorithmsâfeature detection, stereo matching, optical flowâwhile also integrating modern AI techniques such as semantic segmentation and learned feature representations. Every solution is engineered with the strict hardware constraints of resourceâlimited processors in mind, including the ultraâlowâpower, radiationâhardened CPUs typical of spaceâborne systems. About the Role We are seeking a Computer Vision Engineer who can proactively drive architectural evolution and deliver highâperformance perception code for edgeâdeployed platforms. Responsibilities ⢠Apply solid software design principles (modularity, testability) to enhance and extend our existing C++/Python codebase. ⢠Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, optics specialists, system architects, and other stakeholders to transform algorithmic concepts into highâperformance, deployable solutions. ⢠Write productionâgrade C++ code for core functionality, complemented by Python scripts for testing, simulation, and rapid prototyping. ⢠Deeply understand the target hardware architecture and its processing constraints to fineâtune algorithms, maximizing runtime efficiency and extracting every ounce of performance from the processor. ⢠Contribute to and leverage our Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines using tools such as Git Lab CI, Google Test, and Docker for automated builds, containerized testing, and seamless delivery. Qualifications ⢠Minimum of 2+ years of related experience and a postâsecondary degree or training in a related discipline. ⢠Expertise in Computer Vision fundamentals, theory and applications including image processing, feature detection & recognition, geometry based vision, camera modeling. Desired Skills ⢠Masters or PhD in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or related field. ⢠Displayed expertise in light transport modeling, rendering engines, intrinsic and extrinsic camera calibrations, multiâspectra effects, image filtering, frequency domain operations, image warping and transforms, Nâview reconstruction, direct and indirect methods, SLAM, relative pose estimation. ⢠Demonstrated experience in leading a technical engineering team. ⢠Experience with C++, MATLAB, Python, CUDA, and/or RUST. ⢠Possess an active TS/SCI clearance, and eligibility to obtain Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility. ⢠U.S. Citizen required; Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI) required for long term employment on this program. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered. Clearance level: TS/SCI. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $89,300 â $157,435 for selected states, with additional locationâspecific adjustments. Work Schedule and Location Fullâtime onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility. Standard 40âhour week with 9x80 schedule, every other Friday off.
