About the position About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Retail Investment Research Analyst in Global Manager Research within Wealth & Investment Management. In this role, you will: Performing initial and ongoing due diligence on third-party investment products, asset class research coverage, which includes maintaining a high-conviction list of products in the assigned asset classes Create and deliver presentations to business partners and Financial Advisors Responding to inquiries about the recommendations and/or selection methodology used on products under coverage, drafting communications to the field, conducting onsite due diligence, and performing risk analysis on third-party investment products Assisting in the management of key workflow initiatives Assisting in the training of junior level Analysts Responsibilities β’ Performing initial and ongoing due diligence on third-party investment products, asset class research coverage, which includes maintaining a high-conviction list of products in the assigned asset classes β’ Create and deliver presentations to business partners and Financial Advisors β’ Responding to inquiries about the recommendations and/or selection methodology used on products under coverage, drafting communications to the field, conducting onsite due diligence, and performing risk analysis on third-party investment products β’ Assisting in the management of key workflow initiatives β’ Assisting in the training of junior level Analysts Requirements β’ 5+ years of Retail Investment Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Nice-to-haves β’ Experience performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, including statistical and performance analytics on investments β’ Experience analyzing alternative investment strategies including hedge funds and private capital β’ Experience in conducting alternative investment manager research β’ Experience working with alternative investment databases β’ Ability to create and deliver dynamic presentations β’ Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment β’ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills β’ A BS/BA degree or higher in one of the following statistical related fields: applied mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or engineering β’ Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation or demonstrated progress toward the designation β’ Ability to travel up to 15% of the time Apply tot his job
