Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Real Estate Appraiser Trainee to join our team in Missouri through a structured, one-year mentorship program designed to put you on the path toward Residential Appraiser Certification.
- This is a hands-on, paid position focused on real-world training, professional development, and long-term career growth in the appraisal profession.What You’ll Do
- Assist Certified Residential Appraisers with property inspections
- Collect, verify, and analyze real estate market data
- Learn appraisal methodology, USPAP compliance, and report writing
- Help prepare residential appraisal reports under supervision
- Participate in ongoing training and feedback sessions
- Build qualifying experience hours toward Residential Certification Mentorship Program
- One-on-one mentorship with experienced appraisers
- Exposure to a wide variety of residential property types
- Structured learning path covering valuation theory, market analysis, and reporting
- Support through the licensing and certification process What We’re Looking For
- Strong interest in a long-term career in real estate appraisal
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working independently and in the field
- Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficient with basic technology (email, spreadsheets, software)
- Ability to obtain a Missouri Appraiser Trainee license (or currently enrolled) Required
- Coursework toward Missouri Appraiser Trainee license
- Bachelor's Degree in any field
- Associates Degree in real estate, business administration, accounting, finance or economics. Preferred
- Background in real estate, finance, data analysis, or related fields
- Familiarity with Excel or similar tools What We Offer
