What You’ll Be Working On
You’ll support and maintain a large portfolio of WordPress and Shopify websites, handling daily site operations, integrations, performance, security, and client support across multiple platforms.
- WordPress & Website Management
- Maintain and support 170+ WordPress websites
- Work primarily with the Avada theme
- Perform WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates
- Troubleshoot site issues, errors, and conflicts
- Configure and maintain SMTP email delivery
- Build and maintain custom WordPress plugins (plus)
- Perform WordPress site migrations (hosting, domains, servers)
- Build and manage advanced forms using Gravity Forms, including:
- Multi-step and conditional logic forms
- Third-party integrations
- API‑based workflows
- Hosting, Servers, & Infrastructure
- Strong Linux server experience required
- Work within WHM and cPanel environments
- Create, manage, and troubleshoot CRON jobs
- Manage backups, restores, and site deployments using:
- Installatron
- WordPress Management Toolkit
- Configure and manage Cloudflare (DNS, nameservers, security settings)
- Manage domains through GoDaddy
- Assist with domain, DNS, and hosting recovery issues
- Email & Account Support
- Set up and manage client email accounts using:
- Google Workspace (Gmail)
- Zoho Mail
- Configure DNS records (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Troubleshoot email delivery and authentication issues
- Help clients recover email accounts and access
- Shopify Support
- Support and maintain Shopify stores
- Help clients select and configure the right Shopify apps
- Implement anti-fraud and store security solutions
- Assist with store configuration, integrations, and troubleshooting
- Development & Integrations
- Python experience for integrations with Shopify APIs
- JavaScript experience, including Cloudflare Workers
- Build and maintain API connections between WordPress, Shopify, and third-party systems
- Work with REST APIs and webhooks
- Accessibility & Compliance
- Implement and maintain accessibility compliance using AudioEye
- Make manual site updates to address accessibility issues
- Implement cookie consent solutions, including:
- TrustArc
- CookieYes
- Cookiebot
- Ensure sites meet privacy and consent requirements
- Performance, Analytics & SEO
- Connect websites to Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Improve website speed and performance
- Implement technical SEO optimizations, including:
- Core Web Vitals improvements
- Indexing and crawlability fixes
- Performance and structure improvements
- Client Support & Problem Solving
- Support clients with website, hosting, email, and domain issues
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities across many websites
- Required Experience
- Strong experience with WordPress
- Linux server administration experience
- DNS and email configuration knowledge
- Experience with Cloudflare
- Comfortable supporting a large number of live websites
- Nice to Have
- Custom WordPress plugin development
- Python development
- JavaScript development
- Shopify API experience
- Accessibility compliance experience
- Technical SEO experience
