Hello,
We are seeking an experienced freelance graphic designer with a strong background in food & beverage menu design to partner with us on an upcoming menu refresh and supporting creative campaign.
About Our Business
We own and operate 26 traditional and family entertainment bowling centers. As part of an ongoing initiative, we are curating a new food and beverage menu designed to feel delicious, affordable, and easy to order, while elevating the overall guest experience.
Our venues are high-energy, social environments, and the menu plays a critical role in helping guests make quick, confident ordering decisions—both at the table and digitally.
Our current menu is attached but please take this a "grain of salt"! Just want you to get an idea of the current menu that will changed - but it will still be what we hope our guests want at our venues...burgers, pizza, easy-eats!
Project Overview
This project includes the redesign of our core menu along with a suite of supporting digital and campaign assets. We are looking for a designer who can balance visual appeal with strategic clarity, understands hierarchy and readability, and can explain the rationale behind their design decisions.
We will be sharing our newly curated menu content in early March, at which point we will provide an updated content brief. Professional food photography will be planned and provided later in the timeline; initial design phases should account for placeholder imagery or typography-forward layouts.
Scope of Work
Menu Design
- -Print menu: Two-fold 8.5 x 11 in format with cover
Two versions required - Version A: standard menu, Version B: includes a placeholder area for a QR code (to support a future “order-at-the-lane” program)
- -Digital menu:
Web-friendly text layout
Linked PDF version aligned with print design
Campaign & Supporting Assets
- -Social media assets - Square: 1080 x 1080, Vertical: 1080 x 1920, Horizontal: 1080 x 566
- -Email marketing asset - Square: 1080 x 1080
- -Lane Monitor assets - Vertical: 1080 x 1920, Horizontal: 1920 x 1080
Assets should visually align with the menu and support a cohesive campaign rollout
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional design experience, ideally within food & beverage, hospitality, or lifestyle brands
- Demonstrated experience designing menus (print and/or digital)
- Strong understanding of: Visual hierarchy, Readability in fast-paced environments
- Strategic layout decisions that influence ordering behavior
- Ability to articulate design rationale and collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience partnering with photographers, stylists, or creative teams is a plus!

We are looking for a creative partner who can help bring our refreshed menu to life in a way that feels current, intentional, and guest-friendly, while supporting both print and digital experiences. Seeking someone who can pivot as needed, be open to brief tweaks as we don't have the finalized menu yet (compensation for all your work even if something changes!).
