- *Job Summary**
arenaflex is seeking a highly skilled Senior Big Data Software Engineer to lead complex projects and drive the development of data-driven solutions. As a Senior Big Data Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and reporting on projects related to data analytics, machine learning, and data science. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop innovative solutions that meet those needs.
- *Key Responsibilities**
- Lead complex projects and initiatives within specialized technical areas
- Contribute to the development of big data architectures and solutions
- Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and report on projects related to data analytics, machine learning, and data science
- Audit complex technical challenges that require a thorough assessment of technologies and methodologies
- Resolve complex issues and lead a team to meet existing customer needs or potential new customer needs while utilizing a strong understanding of the capability, strategies, systems, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and communicate with colleagues, peers, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve objectives
- Lead tasks and serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- *Required Capabilities**
- 3+ years of programming experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
- 3+ years of active experience with Hadoop
- 3+ years of experience with Teradata
- 3+ years of experience with MongoDB
- 3+ years of experience with AWS
- 3+ years of experience with GitHub and Bitbucket
- 3+ years of experience planning, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and reporting on projects and activities
- 3+ years of experience with Python and Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Flash, HBase, Oozie, Flume, and Kafka
- 3+ years of experience with Ansible
- *Preferred Capabilities**
- Strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) across all levels of technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and have a proactive mindset
- Experience in designing ETL data streams using mapping/work processes to extract data from SQL Server and Data Relocation and Change from Prophet/Access/Excel Sheets using SQL Server SSIS
- Related experience working as a programmer at arenaflex
