Role Description

    As an Automation and Analytics Consultant, you will be a member of our Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management practice and part of a team responsible for solving the most complex and strategic issues faced by hospitals, health systems, and medical groups. Typically, Automation and Analytics Consultants work on multiple assignments at any given time and receive exposure to a broad range of healthcare projects, including:
  • Strategic planning
  • Healthcare reform readiness
  • Physician/hospital integration
  • Financial/risk modeling
  • Merger and acquisition design
    Responsibilities would include:
  • Assist seasoned consultants in developing project approach, strategies, and work plans.
  • Perform detailed, quantitative analysis; build Excel models; and prepare operational and financial projections.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews.
  • Supply data and/or quantitative info. that develops project findings and recommendations.
  • Prepare project materials and reports.
  • Work with the larger teams and as well as take the lead on presentation of final deliverables that go to client sponsors.
  • Assist in design and implementation of recommended solutions.
  • Work with several project teams and Guidehouse Associate Directors and Executives.
  • Effectively communicate with Guidehouse management and client staff.
    Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of prior relevant consulting or consulting-like experience
  • Experience developing analytical models and structuring methodologies
  • Experience performing diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative tasks
  • Demonstrated management of smaller work streams or deliverables
  • Ability to demonstrate an advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Excel
  • Ability to travel 75% or more
    Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or health-related field (preferred)
  • Master's degree from accredited university in business or health-related field (preferred)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Significant knowledge of the healthcare industry
  • Track record of strong client service
  • Proven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects
  • Financial modeling/planning skills a Plus
