Overview
Brooklyn-based residential property management firm managing small multifamily buildings, 2–12 units is hiring a part-time Assistant Property Manager / Operations Coordinator.
This role is for someone with real NYC property management experience who can independently manage violations, compliance, and operational follow-through.
If you are a general admin or virtual assistant without NYC compliance experience, this role is not a fit.
Responsibilities
- You will independently manage:
- DOB / HPD / ECB violation lifecycle (from issuance to closure)
- Compliance tracking (LL152, parapet, annual filings, etc.)
- Vendor scheduling and follow-up
- Insurance certificate collection and tracking
- Tenant administrative follow-through
- Weekly written status report summarizing open items and deadlines
You are responsible for outcomes and deadline management.
- Required Experience (Non-Negotiable)
- Minimum 2 years NYC residential property management experience
- Direct familiarity with DOB, HPD, and ECB processes
- Experience managing multiple buildings at once
- Ability to track 50+ concurrent open items
- Comfortable calling vendors and city agencies independently

- Structure
- 10–12 hours per week
- Fully remote
- Flexible schedule, but consistent weekly availability required
- 90-day trial period
- Potential to expand hours based on performance
