About the position
Our client is a publicly listed media and entertainment company that is seeking an up-n-comer to join their teams as a Senior Accountant. This position offers a competitive compensation package of $100k - $115k, along with a 10% bonus and equity. The role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2 days in the office. - Responsibilities
- Performs financial reporting functions including supporting schedules for the preparation of companies' audited financial statements and footnotes.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly financial statements and internal reporting workbooks.
- Provides support and assistance to the external auditors in connection with the audits.
- Coordinates with accounting and finance personnel for the preparation and tie-out of supporting materials for Board packages and management review.
- Assists in the design of reports and processes that enhance the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of reports.
- Performs monthly detailed analysis of property performance including variance explanations.
- Provides standard and ad-hoc analyses as needed, including balance sheet reconciliations, annual impairment testing analysis, and assists in maintaining depreciation/amortization schedules.
- Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3 years minimum experience in public accounting or a mix of public accounting and private industry experience
- Preference for experience within media and entertainment, but not required
- Regional accounting or Big 4 public accounting firm experience preferred

- CPA is not required, but a nice to have
