- *Job Summary:**
We're looking for a results-driven Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Specialist to support our team in a hybrid remote and in-office setting. As a full-time Project Associate, you will play a vital role in retrieving patient medical records, generating and preparing patient itemized bills, extracting and entering necessary information from hospital patient accounting systems, and making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities. Your exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a team environment will be essential in driving our success.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Retrieve patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Generate and prepare patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits, adhering to regulatory requirements
- Extract and enter necessary information from hospital patient accounting systems, maintaining data integrity and confidentiality
- Make phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients, building strong relationships and resolving any issues that may arise
- Run and create reports to support business intelligence and decision-making
- Assist with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
- Scan and index documents, maintaining a secure and organized digital filing system
- *Essential Qualifications:**
- 2+ years of experience in a medical record/data entry or project support role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital patient accounting systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and clients
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working in a hybrid remote and in-office setting
- Certification in medical records or a related field (e.g., RHIT, RHIA)
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
