Job Description

Technology Operations Specialist ensures stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement across the Production environment. You’ll troubleshoot multi‑platform issues, drive proactive monitoring, support incident/problem/change processes, and partner with technical teams to improve operational readiness and reliability.

Full time Direct Hire

Remote either in the Chicago or Dallas Area

3rd Shift 10:30 PM to 7 AM

Tuesday through Saturday

    Responsibilities
  • Monitor production systems, analyze alerts, and identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead or support incident response (SWAT) for high‑priority issues.
  • Diagnose complex problems across Mainframe, Linux/Unix, Windows, Cloud, Network, and Storage.
  • Support scheduling jobs, MQ, transmissions (SFTP/NDM), backups/restores, and mainframe commands (including IPLs).
  • Maintain logs, documentation, and runbooks; document incidents in ServiceNow/Remedy.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to tune applications and promote best ITIL practices.
  • Support production installs, DR testing, and industry testing.
  • Drive automation and operational standardization.
  • Provide 24×7 support coverage as needed.
    Qualifications
  • 5+ years in Technology Operations or similar role.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience working with technical teams, vendors, and business partners.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).
    Technical Skills
  • Multi‑platform expertise: Mainframe (OS390/JCL), Linux/Unix, Windows, Storage.
  • Scheduling tools (UC4/Control‑M).
  • AWS and cloud tooling.
  • Network fundamentals, MQ operations, Splunk.
  • Understanding of enterprise environments and monitoring systems.
  • Financial/clearing industry experience preferred.
    Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or related field.
  • Preferred: ITIL certification, AWS Cloud Practitioner.

Salary range: $97k-$117k + bonus
