Description:
Homebound/Remote Tutor: Average of 5-10 hours per week.
- Job Description:
- Ability to work flexible hours Monday-Friday when school is in session.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of subject matter content.
- Identifies, selects and modifies instructional materials to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs.
- Travel to students homes and/or work virtually with students who are homebound.
- Teach prescribed academic coursework.
- Establishes an environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
- Utilizes effective assessment strategies to assist in the continuous development of students.
- Administers district assessments and provides progress reports as required.
- Maintains accurate records and communicates with students teachers about progress and/or assignment completion.
- Assists in enforcement of school rules, administrative regulations and School Board Policies.
- Performs other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
Qualifications:
Certification and qualifications as set by the State Board of Education and the School Code
Valid PEL required
Working Conditions:
Part Time, Homebound or Remote
Hourly rate: $40.00
