Captrue Benefits is looking for a Client Fund Accountant to join our team. This is a full-time position located in our Blaine, MN office, or remote, depending on location. OUR VISION FOR THIS KEY ROLE

The Client Fund Accountant is responsible for coordinating all TPA accounting activity for clients who self-fund their health and dental benefit programs and managing information for clients in the areas of funding, billing and reporting of financial transactions. This individual is responsible for preparing and submitting funding request to clients for claims, helping to facilitate payment transactions (provider/vendor) either in the form of an electronic payment or paper check, generating monthly invoices for fixed costs, and monitoring/recording financial transactions and approvals from clients.

A SAMPLE OF WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO IN THIS JOB

  • Communicate with clients regarding funding requirements based on approved expenses of the plan.
  • Coordinate and schedule payments to providers and other payees on behalf of client.
  • Reconcile client accounts and manage financial data, including claims payments, adjustments, and reimbursements.
  • Compile and audit various monthly activity reports.
  • Maintain all billing/contractual terms within claim system, generate monthly invoices, and post invoice payments.
  • Collaborate with other departments, partners, and clients to resolve any payment and funding issues.
  • Maintain high level of internal controls while ensuring all key controls are documented and performed timely.
  • Provide client orientation to plan funding processes and reporting standards.?
  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Assist coordinating TPA and client compliance with certain regulatory reporting related to plan expenses such as 1099, 5500 Schedule A, PCORI, state-specific surcharges, etc.

Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE JOB

· Bachelor’s degree

· 2 years of experience in finance, accounting or a related field

· Experience with health benefits and/or TPA/self-funding industry preferred

· Ability to drive execution and implementation of key initiatives with minimal oversight.

· Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities with pressure of production schedules and deadlines.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) with a strong sense of ownership and commitment to issuing prompt and detailed follow-up.

· Proficient with systems including accounting software (i.e. QuickBooks, etc), and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Strong reconciliation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000
