Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. HKA is a global leader in risk mitigation, dispute resolution, and expert witness services. In this role, you will lead complex Forensic Electrical Engineering projects and serve as a testifying expert in claims, arbitration, and litigation.
- Responsibilities
- Analyze electrical systems, construction issues, and deficiencies
- Develop expert opinions and identify responsible parties
- Create comprehensive forensic engineering reports
- Serve as a lead testifying expert in claims, arbitration, and litigation
- Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 3+ years of forensic engineering experience, including litigation support and drafting expert reports
- Experience as a testifying expert witness in court
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience, including but not limited to: Knowledge of building electrical systems (power, lighting, communications, lightning protection, security)
- Experience with industrial and manufacturing systems (process, chemical, water/wastewater, power, transmission lines, oil & gas)
- Detailed knowledge of design, equipment specification, testing, commissioning procedures, and fire investigations
- Master's degree or higher
- Multi‑state licensure
