- Manage, coach, and develop a team of direct reports
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Traveler Payroll and the various compliance and audit needs, including garnishments and reporting.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of UKG and be available to help troubleshoot software issues and escalate to UKG as needed
- Help answer payroll compliance questions regarding tax issues, with knowledge of when to collaborate with our internal tax team
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with other Payroll Team Leads
- Assist with the implementation of new and existing projects or systems
- Train new team members and maintain documentation of the Payroll Compliance processes
- Oversee assignment of daily tasks to ensure payroll timelines are met
- Provide coaching to direct reports through one-on-one meetings, complete and present annual performance reviews
- Other duties as assigned
- Requirements:
- At least two years of payroll processing experience.
- UKG experience is a plus.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in work experience
- Experience in multi-state payroll processing
- Knowledge of payroll and employment tax laws
- Ability to effectively communicate information to employees and management
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping confidential information
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/assignments while consistently meeting deadlines
- Great problem-solving and analytical skills
- MS Office experience, including skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with Smartsheet.
- Provide excellent customer service to various internal and external customers.
