US Bookkeeping Specialist (QuickBooks)

Remote | Philippines | Part-Time

What You’ll Be Owning

This is a core bookkeeping support role covering daily, monthly, and annual accounting tasks.

You’ll help keep client accounts accurate, compliant, and audit-ready.

    You’ll take the lead on:
  • Recording and maintaining AP, AR, and General Ledger entries
  • Preparing monthly financial statements and reports
  • Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Supporting individual and business tax preparation
  • Organizing and maintaining client records
  • Coordinating with the client on missing or unclear data
  • Reviewing transactions for accuracy and compliance
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of financial information
  • Supporting year-end close and reporting
  • Completing ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned

Important: You won’t be working in isolation. You’ll receive clear instructions, templates, and guidance from the client and Remote Workmate.

    How the Workflow Actually Works
  • Task coordination and instructions via Trello and email
  • Primary systems: QuickBooks Online and Desktop
  • Secure remote access via LogMeIn
  • File management via Box
  • Regular check-ins with the client
  • Clearly defined deadlines and deliverables
  • Feedback based on accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction

You’ll always know what needs to be done, when it’s due, and how your work is evaluated.

    RequirementsThis Role Is a Great Fit If You
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Have worked in a tax preparation or accounting firm environment
  • Hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Are confident using QuickBooks at a professional level
  • Have strong reconciliation skills (bank, AR/AP, GL)
  • Are comfortable using Excel for reporting and analysis
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
  • Have strong attention to detail and documentation habits
  • Can work independently and meet deadlines consistently
  • Are reliable during evening shifts

  • Have experience working with US-based clients
  • Have handled tax-related documentation or filings
  • Are familiar with payroll systems (ADP, Gusto, Paychex)
  • Enjoy improving bookkeeping workflows
  • Are working toward CPA or similar certification
