Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Developer with 6+ years of hands-on experience to join our data engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DataStage ETL development, solid SQL Server knowledge, and familiarity with Unix/Linux environments to support data integration, transformation, and migration projects.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM DataStage to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts in SQL Server to support data processing and transformation.
- Work in Unix/Linux environments to execute scripts, monitor batch jobs, and troubleshoot ETL issues.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of ETL jobs.
- Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of experience as an IBM DataStage Developer.
- Strong proficiency in SQL Server, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and data integration techniques.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
